2. Continue drawing land masses on “globe”

3.  Students who have finished drawing, may get on computer to do research for

project

HW  -  paint water blue and land masses green on flat “globe” get information

  together needed to label “globe”

  painted “globe” due back in class on Monday August 25 with research

- need 1 black Sharpie to label globe

Tuesday - 8/19/08

1.  Daily geography

2.  Finish drawing landmasses on globe.

3.  Students who have finished drawing, may get on computer to do research for

project

HW  -  paint globe and get research for labeling

Wednesday - 8/20/08

1.  Daily geography

2.  Students create a picture dictionary of geographic terms

due at end of class.  see pages H10 - H11 for assistance

HW  paint globe and get research for labeling / finish section one work

Thursday - 8/21/08

1.  Daily geography

2.  Students  will write sentences using vocabulary terms for section 1

3.  Students silently read section one of chapter 1 and answer the reading check

questions and section 1 assessment 1 - 5 on same page as vocabulary work

HW -  paint globe and get research for labeling / sharpie marker

Friday - 8/22/08

1.  Daily geography

2.  Go over section one by reading and discussion of vocabulary and questions

3.  Student creates a three level chart in which he/she identifies an example of a

     geographic level he/she is a part of

4.  Explain current event directions

HW  -  current event topic  -  Olympics

paint globe and get research for labeling / sharpie marker
